Vanessa is a New York born LA raised and based makeup artist and hair stylist. Her multidisciplinary experience as a performer and visual artist lend to her love and appreciation for collaboration, attention to detail, and the story and aesthetic of each project and each person.

Over the last ten years, she has worked in commercial and editorial print and media, and created red carpet looks for the Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys and other awards shows, press and events.

Her work in television and film includes HBO’s Emmy nominated Stax: Soulsville USA, Netflix’s as yet unreleased Prince documentary with Academy Award and Emmy winning director and producer Ezra Edleman, as well as other acclaimed productions, celebrities and cultural icons.

In addition to working as a hair and makeup artist, she still pursues various personal art, film, video and theatre projects and experiments, is a general maker of “things”, often starts with the most difficult part first, likes pretty things and most things sparkly, general lover of ephemera, old buildings, roller skating in her free time, and is a mother to and a lover of cats.
